A specialty of Van Buren Bolsward, whose heritage dates to 1861, the world-renowned Texel sheepskin is prized for its remarkably dense, plush wool and beautiful natural luster.

Raised on the windswept coastal pastures of the Netherlands, Texel sheep develop an exceptionally thick and resilient fleece. Each hide is hand-selected for its volume and expertly tanned while remaining completely undyed and unbleached, preserving the character and natural beauty of the wool.

Unlike the long, wispy texture of Icelandic sheepskin, Texel wool is wonderfully dense and sumptuous underfoot. Naturally occurring lanolin helps the fibers resist dirt and odors, while its high fiber density allows the fleece to remain beautifully plush with use.

Generously sized at 110 cm+, it makes an extraordinary floor piece or an indulgent layer draped across a sofa or oversized armchair.

Care: Shake outdoors regularly and gently comb in the direction of the wool to restore its volume. Vacuum only on low suction. Spot clean as needed; do not machine wash or submerge. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight.
